Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to information when you visit poweredbyvolt.xyz (the “Site”) or take part in the VOLT project (the “Project”), operated by the VOLT team (“we”, “us”).

1. What we do not collect

• No cookies of any kind, first-party or third-party.
• No analytics, pixels, session recording, fingerprinting or advertising tags.
• No account, profile, login or newsletter signup.
• No contact details, unless you choose to email us.
• No wallet connection is required to view the Site, and we do not request signatures.

2. What is processed anyway

Hosting logs

The Site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel automatically processes technical request data so it can deliver the page and protect the service, which typically includes your IP address, the requested URL, timestamp, referrer, user-agent string, and rough location derived from IP. We use this hosting service as our processor; we do not build profiles from it, do not combine it with anything else, and do not use it for advertising. Vercel’s own privacy terms apply to that processing.

Fonts and assets

All fonts, images and video are served from the Site’s own domain. Your browser makes no request to any third-party asset host while loading the page.

Email you send us

If you email us, we process what you put in that email in order to reply and to keep a record of the exchange. Do not send us sensitive personal information you do not want us to hold.

Links out

The Site links to third-party platforms such as X and OpenSea. Once you follow a link, that platform’s own tracking and privacy terms apply and this policy stops. We have no control over and no visibility into what they collect.

3. Blockchain data is public and permanent

Anything you do on a public blockchain, including minting, transferring, listing or selling a VOLT NFT, is recorded on a public, permanent ledger by design. Your wallet address and full transaction history are visible to anyone in the world, forever.

We did not create that record, we cannot edit it, and we cannot delete it. If your wallet address is linked to your identity anywhere, on an exchange, a domain name, a social profile, that link can be followed by third parties. Treat every on-chain action as published in public.

4. Legal bases

Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating, securing and defending the Site for hosting logs, and on our legitimate interest in responding to you for correspondence you initiate. Where we ever ask for consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

5. Retention

Hosting logs are retained by our host for its own standard, limited period and then discarded. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed for the matter it concerns and for any period we may need it to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

6. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share it only:

• with our hosting provider, as the technical processor described above;
• where we are legally required to, such as in response to a valid legal order;
• where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or to investigate fraud, abuse or a threat to someone’s safety.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to complain to your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these, email privacy@poweredbyvolt.xyz. We may ask for enough information to be sure it is really you.

These rights do not apply to public blockchain records, which we cannot alter or erase, and they do not apply to data held by third-party platforms, which you must approach directly.

8. Children

The Site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly process data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

Our host operates a global network, so a request may be served from, and logged in, a country other than yours. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses put in place by that provider.

10. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS with HSTS. It is a static site with no database, no user accounts and no stored personal records, which removes most of the surface where personal data could be exposed. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The version posted here with its “last updated” date is the one that applies.
