Risk Disclaimer
VOLT NFTs are digital collectibles, not investments. Nothing is promised. You can lose 100% of what you spend, permanently, with no recourse. Never spend more than you can afford to lose entirely.
This disclaimer forms part of our Terms of Use. It is written to be read, not skimmed. If any part of it is unacceptable to you, do not take part.
1. Not financial advice
Nothing in the VOLT project, on this site, in any post, thread, reply, space, call or chat message, is financial, investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, a recommendation, a solicitation, or an offer to buy or sell anything. We are not licensed advisers, we are not your adviser, and no advisory or fiduciary relationship exists. Any decision you make is yours alone. Speak to your own qualified professional first.
2. Not a security, not a yield product
A VOLT NFT is a collectible. It is not a share, unit, note, bond, deposit, fund interest, derivative, or any other financial instrument, and it carries no entitlement to profit, revenue, dividend or repayment. It should not be acquired with any expectation of profit from the efforts of others.
3. Nothing about the future is promised
Any description of what the project intends to do, including deploying fees, backing projects, acquiring assets, passing anything to holders, launching a token, or delivering any tier, unlock, reward or roadmap phase, is an intention, not a commitment.
- It may change in scope, mechanics, eligibility or timing, without notice.
- It may be delayed indefinitely.
- It may be cancelled or abandoned entirely.
- It may never produce any value of any kind for any holder.
Holding an NFT does not entitle you to receive anything, at any time, in any amount. Do not buy on the expectation that it will.
4. Total loss is a realistic outcome
- Price. Digital collectibles are extremely volatile and frequently become worthless. There may be no buyer at any price.
- Liquidity. There is no guarantee a market exists, continues to exist, or lets you exit. We will not buy your NFT back.
- Project failure. The project may stop, run out of resources, lose key contributors, or be wound down at any point.
5. Technology risk
- Smart contracts. Contracts can contain defects, and defects can be exploited. An audit, if any, reduces risk but never removes it.
- Blockchain and network. Chains, bridges, sequencers, validators, RPC providers and marketplaces can fail, halt, reorganise, censor or be attacked. A new or emerging chain carries more of this risk, not less.
- Irreversibility. On-chain transactions cannot be undone, reversed or refunded by us or by anyone. A mistyped address means the asset is gone.
- Custody. If you lose your seed phrase, or someone obtains it, your assets are gone permanently. We cannot restore them.
- Metadata and storage. Artwork and metadata may be hosted off-chain and could become unavailable if a storage provider fails.
6. Fraud and impersonation
Fake sites, fake mints, fake support accounts and malicious signature requests are constant in this space. We will never DM you first, never ask for your seed phrase or private key, and never ask you to “validate” or “sync” a wallet. Verify every contract address and link through our official channels, and treat everything else as hostile. We are not responsible for losses caused by third-party scams, compromised accounts, or anything you sign.
7. Regulatory risk
Laws covering digital assets are unsettled and change quickly, and differ by country. Future regulation, enforcement or platform policy could restrict, devalue, delist or end the project, or make your participation unlawful where you live. You are responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply to you, and for stopping if they change.
8. Tax
Acquiring, holding, transferring or disposing of digital assets, and receiving anything of value in connection with them, can create a tax liability. That is entirely your responsibility to determine, report and pay. We give no tax advice and take no responsibility for your position.
9. Third parties
Marketplaces, wallets, bridges and social platforms are independent of us. We do not control their fees, uptime, royalties, listings, moderation or security, and we are not liable for them.
10. No affiliation
The project is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or in partnership with Robinhood Markets, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates, or with any other company referenced anywhere in the project. All third-party names and marks belong to their owners and are used for identification only.
11. If you take one thing from this page
Buy a VOLT NFT because you want the collectible and you accept it may end up worth nothing. Do not buy it as a bet on a payout. If you cannot lose the full amount without it changing your life, do not spend it.
